MVP in 1950-51…Led the league in hits in 1947-48 (102) and 1950-51 (112)…leader in doubles in 1950-51 (22)…leader in triples in 1947-48 (9), 1951-52 (8) y 1957-58 (8)…Leader in home runs in 1948-49 (18), slugging in 1955-56 (.620) and runs in 1949-50 (69)…first to hit 100 homers (11/9/56)…most with 10+ Homeruns in a season with 7…one of four to hit 10+ home runs four seasons in a row; the other are Williard Brown, Candy Maldonado and Danny Walton…most with 50+ rbi´s per season with 6 …only player with 100+ hits in three seasons…lifetime first in homers (120) and rbi´s (566); third in slugging (.525) and total bases (1,562)…fourth in triples (61); seventh in batting (.313), doubles (149) and runs (527); and ninth in hits (931)…his record as a pitcher is 39-32…named to the Puerto Rico Professional Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991, Santurce Sports Hall of Fame in 2014 and the Caribbean Series Hall of Fame in 2020…in 2014 he was selected as one of the best 75 players of the Puerto Rico Professional League.
