A defensive wizard with occasional offensive, he was one of the great central line of Mayagüez along with center field Carlos Bernier (CF), and catchers Luis Villodas, Humberto Martí and Santiago Muratti…second black latino in Organized Baseball with the Stamford Pioneers in the Colonial League…named to the Puerto Rico Professional Baseball Hall of Fame in 1993.
