He won a gold medal in the javelin throw at the Central American Games of 1935 and 1938… He won Mayagüez’s first match on November 13, 1938… owns the record of innings pitched for a native in a season (242) set in 1938-39… leader in strikeouts (96) in 1938-39… first native with 100+ strikeouts in a season (1939-40)… extremely versatile, he also stood out as a hitter… reinforce the Guayama team, and won one of the four games, when they won the first World Series of the Semipro League  held in Puerto Rico in September 1939… named to the Puerto Rico Professional Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992..selected as one of the top 75 players in the Puerto Rico Professional Baseball League in 2014.
