Rookie of the Year in 1946-47…one of five with 100+ wins…lifetime he is third in shutouts, fourth in wins and strikeouts, and sixth in earn run average…threw a no-hitter against San Juan on December 6, 1953…on February 24th, 1947, he combined with Raymond Brown in the victory of Ponce over the New York Yankees, 12-8, in an exhibition game held at Sixto Escobar Stadium in Puerto Rico…named to the Puerto Rico Professional Baseball Hall of Fame in 1993 and Caribbean Series Hall of Fame in 2003…in 2014 he was selected as one of the best 75 players of the Puerto Rico Professional League and won the prestigious Francisco “Pancho” Coimbre Award.
