Only player to win MVP in consecutive years (1943-44 y 1944-45)…one of five to win MVP twice…one of five to led the league in win two years in a row (1944-45 y 1945-46) (the others are Barney Brown, John Ford Smith, Ed Figueroa and Randy Bockus)…among Puerto Rican pitchers he has more wins in consecutive seasons (39)…only pitcher to led the league in ERA in two consecutive seasons (1943-44 y 1944-45)…one of nine to win 15+ in a season…first to throw a no-hitter in the league (vs. Mayagüez on 12/3/44)…one of three pitcher to led the league in home runs (1944-45 with 3)…holds the best lifetime W-L% (82-39/.678)…lifetime he is seventh in earn run average (3.31) and tenth in wins (82)…named to the Puerto Rico Professional Baseball Hall of Fame in 1993…..in 2014 he was selected as one of the best 75 players of the Puerto Rico Professional League…winner of the Francisco Coimbre Award in 2021.
