Negro League stats

In 1939-40 he did not allow earned runs in 38.2 consecutive innings…in 1940-41, he became the first and only pitcher to win a batting title and one of two with .400+ (the other was Bob Thurman in 1947-48)…on March 24th, 1940, he struck out seven players of Mayagüez in a row: José A. Figueroa, Danny García, Pedro Jaime Reyes, Lupe Ortiz, Juan Daviú, Eugenio Cámara and Ramón “Nica” Bayrón.. also he struck out 10+ in a game two times:

In 2013 he was selected as one of the best 75 players of the Puerto Rico Professional League.
